Heavenly Father, there have been so many times I felt stuck, but in hindsight I always see You were at work. I am so impatient and always want things to move quicker than they usually do, but I know You are working things with perfect timing to bring me to the place You want me to be. I want to be where You want me, Lord. Help me to relax and see You, and not my “stuckness”. Help me to lean into You and allow You to love me, strengthen me and bring me to the place I can be the best for You. Teach me something new today, Father.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen!
We are finally seeing the servants of Pharaoh
tiring of the punishment they are receiving because of Pharaoh’s decisions, and
they push him to let at least the men go to worship. Pharaoh agreed but this partial agreement
isn’t what God promised the Israelites and they push back. He drives them away from him and we see they
are stuck in the same spot. Have you
ever felt stuck?
Maybe you feel there is a new path for you but
you can’t seem to find your way to it, or God is calling you to a new ministry
but there isn’t an opportunity to serve in your present environment. Be patient and prayerful. The wilderness isn’t a fun place but it can
be a time of wonderful growth not only in you as a person, but in your
relationship with God. Spend time in
prayer and thank Him for whatever He is about to do next.
Exodus 10:7-11
7 Then
Pharaoh's servants said to him, “How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let
the men go, that they may serve the Lord their God. Do you not
yet understand that Egypt is ruined?” 8 So
Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh. And he said to them, “Go,
serve the Lord your God. But which ones are to go?” 9 Moses said, “We will go with our young and
our old. We will go with our sons and daughters and with our flocks and herds,
for we must hold a feast to the Lord.” 10 But he said to them, “The Lord be with you, if ever I let you and your little ones go!
Look, you have some evil purpose in mind. 11 No!
Go, the men among you, and serve the Lord, for that
is what you are asking.” And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.
