November 25– Exodus 35:30-36:1
30 Then
Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of
Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and he has filled
him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge,
and with all craftsmanship, 32 to devise artistic
designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in
cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled
craft. 34 And he has inspired him to teach, both
him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. 35 He
has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or
by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and
fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.
“Bezalel and Oholiab
and every craftsman in whom the Lord has
put skill and intelligence to know how to do any work in the construction of
the sanctuary shall work in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded.”
I so love that God’s word
doesn’t hold back. We can see how God
says clearly that He gives us skill, intelligence, knowledge and abilities with
arts and crafts, and these are given to us not only to allow us a way to support
our families and for hobbies, but for us to use for His benefit and glory.
What gifts do you have
that you currently use in a way that glorifies God?
How can you use intelligence
and knowledge to glorify Him?
Why do you think God gave
you the specific gifts you have?
Heavenly Father, I want
to glorify you in every way I can, and I love that you gave me things I enjoy that
can also glorify You. You are such an
amazing God! Thank You for the many
gifts You have given us and the many ways we can show our love to You. I am so amazed and humbled by how much You
love me. I know I don’t deserve Your
love. I don’t deserve anything good, but
You are not ony a God of grace, but of mercy and give Your love freely, even to
those, like me, who don’t deserve it.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen!
