June 15, 2024 – 1 Samuel 17:48-49

Again David amazes me with his confidence. He runs TOWARD the enemies! I can’t think of a time that I have every run toward my enemies. How different my life could be if I had the confidence of this young, ruddy faced youth as I face my enemies. I will continue to pray that God grows my confidence in Him. Join me today as we ask God to prepare us for the battles we will face with our enemies.

 

48 When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine. 49 And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.
