July 6 – 1 Samuel 22:20-23
How many times are we able to see how trust
worthy someone is? Too many times we
trust ones that aren’t truly ones to be trusted, but there is one we know that
is totally and completely trustworthy.
Every minute of every day He waits for us to reach out to Him and
completely trust Him with everything.
But we so often respond by giving Him a piece of one thing and turn
around and trust those we shouldn’t. Do
you ever fall into that dangerous trap?
Trust in Jesus completely. He’s
the only one that deserves to be trusted and proves that daily.
20 But one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub,
named Abiathar, escaped and fled after David. 21 And
Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the priests of the Lord. 22 And
David said to Abiathar, “I knew on that day, when Doeg the Edomite was
there, that he would surely tell Saul. I have occasioned the death of all the
persons of your father's house. 23 Stay with me; do
not be afraid, for he who seeks my life seeks your life. With me you shall be
in safekeeping.”
